The power of oṃ ! Saturday 29th June 2-4pm at Luna Wave
Almost everyone who has practised yoga for any period of time will have chanted oṃ. But why? What does it mean? Where does it come from? How is it relevant to a modern yoga practice and how can we experience the power of oṃ? This yoga workshop will explore the meaning of oṃ through the tradition of yoga, from its first inception to its development into a tool of realisation, spanning over a 3000 year period. We will will explore the textual tradition of oṃ in an experiential manner using the tools of āsana, prāṇāyāma, tantric and haṭha meditations, and of course chanting! Suitable for anyone with an interest in the deeper practices of yoga beyond posture. If you want to know more about the roots of yoga then then this is for you! Please click here to book.

Yoganidrā teacher training 50hr Yoga Alliance Professionals certified. On the back of my masters degree and a couple of decades of practice and teaching I am launching a yoganidrā teacher training course. There are a lot of YN training courses out there but this will be a course with some difference! It is rooted in my thesis research around the role of sleep in yoga and meditation traditions of South Asia and will explore the rich history of practices that influenced or directly link to what is a modern yoganidrā practice. There is much more to this practice than the assumption that this was purely a practice created by Swami Satchidananda in the 1970's, and in fact my research has lead me into the depths of just how rich this history is, and seeds of practice are found in some of the earliest teachings of yoga dating back over 2500 years. This course will give you a foundation in history and yoga philosophy and its direct application as a practice that opens the pathway to direct realisation and experience of the philosophy. It will give you confidence to guide people into the state of yoganidrā, in a supportive, inclusive and safe environment. It will enrich you with the tools for a personal practice and for a real understanding of what we are doing in this practice from the level of yoga philosophy, energetics and neuroscience. This will give you something very special to share with your students or purely for your own practice. The course is open to qualified yoga teachers and trainee yoga teachers, Pilates teachers, psychotherapists, hypnotherapists and anyone who might be working in a therapeutic one to one environment with clients. Please get in touch if you have any questions around your eligibility.
The course is being programmed for Autumn 2024 so please watch this space for the dates to land.

Vajrasati 500+ YAP yoga teacher training
Vajrasati yoga teacher training is a fully comprehensive training course, carried out over two years, certified at the highest level by Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. Khadine co-runs the training with her partner Jim Tarran, the founder of Vajrasati yoga. The two year programme allows time to really integrate the teachings of yoga on all levels of being. The course covers: yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and mantra; teaching techniques; anatomy and physiology; yoga philosophy from all influencing traditions for full understanding and Sanskrit basics. You will also be joining a wonderful community (sangha) of like-minded teachers, who want to know yoga for themselves, not simply from a scripted style package of dogmatic instructions. You will be encouraged to utilise intuitive knowledge with the support of a cohort of heart-led practitioners. At the heart of Vajrasati is empowerment of each and every teacher (and student) and shared learning so we can all grow together. The course has two intakes every autumn in Brighton and Herne Hill. Please see the Vajrasati website for more information.
