Dāśa Mahāvidyās one year practice immersion

This is a course for anyone interested in tantric yoga and Indian tantric philosophy and meditation, not just for yoga teachers!  Although this will have a special interest for yoga teachers.

A journey of exploration of the 10 Mahāvidyās (wisdom goddesses) over one year in order to develop an intimate relationship with each of these powerful deities. The course includes a detailed exploration of the mythology, qualities and energies of each goddess with specific practices to awaken some of these qualities in ourselves and become intimate with śakti (the power of consciousness) through the archetype of the deity.  Each deity is an anthropomorphic representation of various aspects of consciousness. The course will allow you to use these representations to access deeper wisdoms and reflections in your own life.  The course is filled with meditation practices, reflections, mantras, discussion and handouts. Content is shared via documents, pre-recorded MP3s and videos and some live guided meditation sessions (which are also recorded). This course and the information are not just an intellectual property of acquiring knowledge but a deep inner knowing of a personal relationship with practice, bhakti (devotion), contemplation and surrender.  The course is delivered as a hybrid with live attendees and zoom attendees, so is accessible to anyone anywhere in the world.  I have had attendees on the course whilst they travel the world and people dialing in from other countries other than the UK. All meet ups are audio and video recorded so you may watch again or catch up if you miss a session.

Who is this course for?

This course holds particular interest to yoga and meditation teachers, however it is open to all and many students of the course are not teachers at all, just keen practitioners. If you have an interest in any of this subject matter then this is for you. South Asian spiritualty and devotion practices are of course a strong element of the course.
This is a course to unleash our own inner pratibhā (intuition) through practise. The goddesses have a rich history and are not confined to a particular religion, although they do feature in religions. You don't have to have an affiliation to a particular religion or be religious at all to do this course - most people aren't! We are utilising the goddesses as a tool of awakening but with total respect to their origin traditions and practices.
This course is open to all genders. Although we are working with goddesses or the divine feminine, as you will learn they transcend gender and societal conditioning so this is very much an all inclusive course for everyone!

What will you get from the course?

As well as learning all about these incredible goddesses, you will learn about South Asian soteriology (systems of practice that lead to ultimate freedom) and tantric traditions. You will develop meditation and reflection practices from tantra and haṭhayoga traditions. You will learn to integrate the teachings of these goddesses inspiring connection with nature and all aspects of life to transform how you see the world!
The structure of the course is based on a 2-hour session together for each goddess (10 in total). This introduces each goddess and the mantras and a practice or two. There are further practices given throughout the period with each goddess (between a month and 6 weeks) via an on-line forum and a minimum of 2 dial-in zoom  30 minute led-meditation sessions per goddess, so you can really immerse yourself in each goddess throughout our time with her. Everything is recorded so you can access practices in your own time.
The course truly inspires creativity (wonderful poems have been written, artwork created and songs and mantras by attendants of the course - see some examples below) and it also of course helps to develop a committed meditation practice.

Inspirations arising from the course...

Many participants have unleashed their creativity through this course. See below for some of the wonderful offerings that have come out of this immersion. Some course testimonials

I have many more I am happy to share with you if you wish, but here are a few to hopefully inspire!

"I would 100% recommend doing the course.  It’s been such an amazing journey with the mahavidyas, a real chance to go deeper with yoga philosophy and into my own experience of yoga. It takes you right into the heart of what this practice is all about where we open up to something bigger than ourselves. Really do it if you’re thinking about it anyone"- Sophie Bisset

"The Mahavidya Goddess course led by Khadine is extremely highly recommended by me. This course has actually changed my life! I am joining again next year :)" Claire O’Neill

"This course is absolutely brilliant and I've loved it all.  The sessions are packed full of information and practice and delivered in a brilliant and beautiful way.  Khadine's knowledge is quite astounding and she clearly embodies the practice - she's a shining example of the benefits of using the practices in daily life!  I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone wanting to learn more about the tantric path." Helen Kowalski
