Yoganidrā teacher training

50 hour Yoga Alliance professionals certification

Become a yoganidrā teacher

Find your own unique style and confidence to share this wonderful practice

What sets this training apart from others?

I created this yoganidrā teacher training course certificated through the Vajrasati Yoga School and accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals on the back of my masters degree and a couple of decades of practice and teaching. What sets this course apart from other yoganidrā teacher trainings is that it is rooted in my dissertation research around the role of sleep in yoga and meditation traditions of South Asia. I was very fortunate to be supervised by the worlds leading expert in haṭhayoga, Jim Mallinson for my dissertation and I am happy to say I received a high grade distinction for my work. As a result of my deep dive and passion to find the real roots of this practice, this course explores the rich history of practices that influenced or directly link to what is a modern yoganidrā practice. There is much more to this practice than the common assumption that this was purely a practice created by Swami Satyānanda in the 1970's. My research lead me into the depths of just how rich this history is, and seeds of practice are found in some of the earliest teachings of yoga dating back over 2500 years. This course will give you a foundation in history and yoga philosophy and its direct application as a practice that opens the pathway to direct realisation and experience of the philosophy. It will give you confidence to guide people into the state of yoganidrā, in a supportive, inclusive and safe environment. It will enrich you with the tools for a personal practice and for a real understanding of what we are doing in this practice from the level of yoga philosophy, energetics and neuroscience. This will give you something very special to share with your students or purely for your own practice.
This course is open to qualified yoga teachers and trainee yoga teachers, Pilates teachers, psychotherapists, hypnotherapists and anyone who might be working in a therapeutic one to one environment with clients. Please get in touch if you have any questions around your eligibility.
I keep the in-person cohort to just 12 students to enable more focussed learning.
The course is delivered in-person in Hove and there is also an option to join as a remote participant via Zoom.

Course structure

Testimonials
I have LOVED the course so much, it has deepened my meditation practice and I have found the teachings of Nidra and everything sleep - related especially so interesting. I loved ….the deep dive into the science behind what happens to brains when we practice Nidra was fascinating, and being encouraged to write and teach Nidra in our own ways (and not following a script) meant everything sunk in. Sophie Allen

As I had hoped from the course, I have deepened my understanding of yoga nidra, and yoga more broadly, as a history and philosophy of many interacting things. That for me is one of the shiniest parts of Khadine’s teaching, is the rooting in tradition, and so beautiful to find when it is often either overly simplified/binaryfied (not sure that's a word) or entirely missing. Personally as a teacher of yoga nidra, I feel more confident in my own voice and instincts. I feel returned to more quiet and simplicity within offering the practice. I can get very excitable about wanting to offer something Full with a strong thread connecting all components. And there is no doubt a place for that in many contexts. But through the course I have been reminded that you can offer so much, which is dense in tradition and meaning, while keeping things simpler and allowing it to emerge in the quiet. Lou Thomas

Thank you so much for a fabulous course, I have really enjoyed it and feel inspired and ready to incorporate Yoga Nidra into my weekly classes and workshops. You always go above and beyond with your courses and the extra love and care you put in is so enriching, thank you. Sally Lightburn-Jones

I recently took Khadine's Yoga Nidra training course and can thoroughly recommend it! Khadine generously shares her deep knowledge and passion for yoga Nidra and sleep traditions, and I learnt so much to inform my own learning, and feel much more confident with my own practice. It was also great having the option to be in person or join online, making the course really accessible too. Nicky Crabb

…the course has been really transformative… Thank you  Khadine i have loved it. Gwyneth Curtis
