Monthly Friday evening yoga and yoganidrā workshops ~ "Focus and feel" Luna Wave Studio, Brighton 6.30-8.30pm Most first Fridays of the month. Next session 1st July - Resistance to release Join me for a 2 hour Yoga and Yoganidrā practice that explores resistance and release and the interconnected nature of these two paradigms. Resistance and tension are often seen as negative qualities in yoga and as things we want to get rid of, but of course it’s all relative! We can use positive resistance and tension in the body to engage and release. This workshop will be both a strength and softness-based yoga class using resistance bands to add another dimension of strength work to our practice. We will explore the nature of non-duality through opposite experiences which will dissolve all sense of opposition so we can embrace tension and let it release! Come and ping some elastic! As always this session will be infused with embodied yoga philosophy taking inspiration from traditional yoga and meditation teachings and there will be a generous yoganidrā practice to close the session and embrace the release and melt away any remnants of tension so it will be a fully rounded journey from resistance to release!

Vajrasati yoga teacher training is a fully comprehensive training course, carried out over 22 months, certified at the highest level by Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. I co-run the training with my partner Jim Tarran, the founder of Vajrasati yoga in 2000. The longer programme allows time to really integrate the teachings of yoga on all levels of being. The course covers: yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and mantra; teaching techniques; anatomy and physiology; yoga philosophy from all influencing traditions for full understanding and Sanskrit basics. You will also be joining a wonderful community (sangha) of like-minded teachers, who want to know yoga for themselves, not simply from a scripted style package of dogmatic instructions. You will be encouraged to utilise intuitive knowledge with the support of a cohort of heart-led practitioners. At the heart of Vajrasati is empowerment of each and every teacher (and student) and shared learning so we can all grow together. The course has a new intake every September in Brighton.
Yoganidrā teacher training 50hr Yoga Alliance Professionals certified.
Possibly the most in-depth yoganidrā teacher training available. This is delivered over a 3 month period, sharing rigorous information based on my masters degree dissertation research that is omitted from other yoganidrā courses. A practical course of what it is, how to practise, how to teach and how to gain confidence in finding your own teaching style. This course currently runs twice a year in Brighton and online.
