Exploring the subtle body. Sunday 9th November 2025 Luna Wave Studio, Brighton 3.30-5.30pm £30 Full / £25 Vajrasati members and regular students (contact me for code) This workshop will dive into an exploration of the "yogic body" of channels (nāḍī), energy centres (cakra), winds, (vāyu), knots (granthi) and the illusive Kuṇḍalinī energy. We will look to engage and connect with these more subtle elements of human experience through familiar yogic techniques and tantric methods that include āsana (yoga posture), prāṇāyāma (breathing technique), dhāraṇā (focus), dhyāna (meditation), mudrā (gesture and state) and mantra (chanting), and perhaps a wee bit of yoganidrā to top it all off with a wonderful deep rest (because why wouldn't we?!). There will be movement and stillness, visualisation and imagination and an openness to allow total integration. As always these aspects of experience will be engaged for liberative means so we can move our whole being towards freedom.
This practice is suitable for all-levels of experience but may be of more interest to longer term practitioners, teachers of yoga or the philosophy-curious who want to explore beyond asana into the experiential philosophy and energy teachings of ancient yoga texts.

Vajrasati yoga teacher training is a fully comprehensive training course, carried out over 22 months, certified at the highest level by Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. Khadine co-runs the training with her partner Jim Tarran, the founder of Vajrasati yoga. The longer programme allows time to really integrate the teachings of yoga on all levels of being. The course covers: yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and mantra; teaching techniques; anatomy and physiology; yoga philosophy from all influencing traditions for full understanding and Sanskrit basics. You will also be joining a wonderful community (sangha) of like-minded teachers, who want to know yoga for themselves, not simply from a scripted style package of dogmatic instructions. You will be encouraged to utilise intuitive knowledge with the support of a cohort of heart-led practitioners. At the heart of Vajrasati is empowerment of each and every teacher (and student) and shared learning so we can all grow together. The course has two intakes every autumn in Brighton and Herne Hill.
