Prāṇa - lifeforce and yoga ~ a yoga workshop Sunday 26th April Brighton Buddhist Centre 2 - 4.30pm £28 Full / £23 Concession A lot of what we do in a yoga practice involves the cultivation and manipulation of prāṇa / lifeforce. We will explore prāṇa in depth - what is it?, can we feel it?, can we utilise it?, does awareness of prāṇa lead to integration? Khadine will skillfully lead you through yoga posture work with a focus on breath awareness and trust in the breath through direct experience and traditional teachings. She will include guided breath-based practices and mediation and you'll also get a guided yoga nidrā (reclined deep meditation-type practice). Suitable for all levels from beginners to very experienced as practices will be adapted accordingly. This workshop will include āsana, prāṇāyāmas, meditation and yoga nidrā.

Vajrasati yoga teacher training is a fully comprehensive training course, carried out over 22 months, certified at the highest level by Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. I co-run the training with my partner Jim Tarran, the founder of Vajrasati yoga in 2000. The longer programme allows time to really integrate the teachings of yoga on all levels of being. The course covers: yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and mantra; teaching techniques; anatomy and physiology; yoga philosophy from all influencing traditions for full understanding and Sanskrit basics. You will also be joining a wonderful community (sangha) of like-minded teachers, who want to know yoga for themselves, not simply from a scripted style package of dogmatic instructions. You will be encouraged to utilise intuitive knowledge with the support of a cohort of heart-led practitioners. At the heart of Vajrasati is empowerment of each and every teacher (and student) and shared learning so we can all grow together. The course has a new intake every September in Brighton.
